Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 6, 2026
Livnot ("Livnot," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you use the Livnot website, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Livnot is a private digital tool for navigating the shidduch process, including organizing suggestions, storing personal reflections, building resumes, managing shadchan contacts, and tracking follow-up.
Optional ChatGPT résumé integration
You choose whether to use Livnot with ChatGPT. Share only résumé details you want it to use. These may include religious beliefs, community or family information; every detail is optional. Before sending a form draft or linking an account, you are asked to acknowledge this optional use, including sensitive details you choose to include. You can decline and leave without sending or linking.
ChatGPT/OpenAI receives the résumé content you send to ChatGPT. Livnot processes details supplied through its tools to produce the requested preview; Firebase/Google Cloud provides Livnot hosting and account storage. Linking allows ChatGPT to read your résumé when you ask and save separately approved changes. Contact details and reference contacts are optional and excluded from account reads unless you explicitly request them. The dedicated location field is excluded. This connection cannot access date notes, reflections or suggestions.
Previewing or sending a draft does not save it to your Livnot account. Saved résumé changes follow the account and content retention and deletion policy below. Information already sent to ChatGPT is subject to ChatGPT’s own data controls and policies.
You can revoke future account access at /chatgpt/connect. Revocation invalidates the connection; it does not delete content already sent to ChatGPT. Access tokens have a one-hour logical lifetime and sessions a 30-day logical lifetime, unless revoked sooner. Expired records are cleaned up asynchronously, so expiry does not promise immediate physical deletion.
Optional ChatGPT ad measurement
If you arrive from a ChatGPT ad, you can separately allow advertising measurement. This choice is optional and distinct from product analytics. With permission, Livnot stores the OpenAI click reference for up to seven days and sends OpenAI completed registration or verified purchase events, their time, an opaque event identifier and, for purchases, the actual amount and currency. The source URL is fixed to the public homepage. We do not send your name, email, résumé, journal, other private content, or browser form information. We do not load the OpenAI Pixel or use automatic advanced matching. Events opt out of future user-level personalization.
Use Cookie settings to withdraw permission. Future events stop; a request already transmitted cannot be recalled. Expired attribution stops being used immediately and server records are scheduled for automatic deletion. Anonymous delivery identifiers may remain for up to eight days to prevent duplicate counting. This setup measures the website only, not native app installs or store purchases. OpenAI processes received events under its applicable terms and privacy practices.

Where required by law, we take steps intended to provide appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including secure authentication, encrypted connections, and access controls.
However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
